Plane crashes in New Jersey, sets multiple buildings on fire; two crew members killed
A neighborhood quickly caught on fire after a small plane crashed in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
Police report two crew members on board died.
No other passengers were on the plane at the time, according to police.
Dark plumes of smoke were seen in videos showing the aftermath of the impact.
According to WNBC it was attempting to land at Teterboro Airport Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were working to quench the flames as onlookers gathered.
WNBC reports the FAA said the plane was a Learjet 35 that went down less than a half mile from the airport.
It departed from the Philadelphia International Airport.
FAA investigators are headed to the scene.
